At Long Last, ‘Any Night’ Arrives

Already the recipients of a number of high profile awards, including the protege portion of the Siminovitch Prize, Daniel Arnold and Medina Hahn should likely make room in their trophy cabinet for some sort of gold-plated acknowledgement for, let’s say, Persistence In The Field Of Producing. It was spring of 2009 when they began exploring the possibility of bringing their critically acclaimed play Any Night to New York City. On Thursday, June 2nd, after combing the streets of downtown Manhattan for just the right venue and enlisting some high-powered help, two years of work will be rewarded when Any Night opens at The LABA Theater at The 14th Street Y.

Starry Night Entertainment (White People, Mistakes Were Made) in association with the Bridge Theatre Company will present the limited engagement. Mr. Arnold and Ms. Hahn (the two minds of DualMinds) have seen their Ron Jenkins-directed production raised in cities across Canada, earning accolades from Vancouver to Toronto. Any Night’s June 2nd US Premiere will also mark the pair’s return to New York as creators since their first play, Tuesdays and Sundays wowed audiences at the 2003 New York Fringe, earning them a Best Overall Production Award.
